Associations

The Savannah State University National Alumni Association holds membership in the following affiliate groups:

NAFEO – National Association for Equal Opportunity in Higher Education is a consortium of the chief officers of historically black institutions. NAFEO annually recognizes alumni as leaders in Higher Education (see Distinguished Alumni).

GABSU – Georgia Association of Black State Universities is a consortium between the alumni of SSU and sister institutions Albany State University and Fort Valley State University.

CNAA – Council of National Alumni Association: National body of colleges representing the organized body of national Alumni Associations of all historically black colleges/universities. Founder of Pay Back ‘85.
